We are facing a world filled with a whole lot of ugly. Ugly belief systems, ugly actions, focus on separation, anger, and abuse. But I believe in the inherent wisdom, kindness and peace in humanity, so we have to focus. And we have to focus in the direction opposite of media hype, which is the complication.
On October 18, in her weekly NorthPoint Journal, Pam Younghans wrote:
“What is the quality you most long to see more of in the world? Kindness? Equality? Spiritual consciousness? Hold the image, the energy of that quality in your awareness, in your very being. Practice holding that energy and vision as much as you can in the days ahead, for we are in a pivotal time. It takes all of us working together to create the world we will step into on the other side of the bridge.”
(I have read Pam’s brilliant wisdoms for more than a decade. She is positive and balanced, and a pleasure to interact with personally.)
Kwami is in a book group, co-chaired by female pastors. One, Brenda Satrum, posted a request:
“Do you have a prayer on your heart?I’m looking to create a video collage of 30-second prayers on a variety of topics: schools, families, those who are sick, elections, first responders, race/racism, care for creation, the poor, the elderly, farmers, city-folk, the unemployed, business owners…”
What is your prayer? What qualities do you want to see more of?
This is mine, in the moment, for a beginning:
My prayer is that everyone is aware of love,
within and from outside,
as it exudes from each person,
regardless of their egoic human appearance,
personality, or individuality.
And that we may recognize All that is around us
as the components of Oneness,
no matter what name we give that Unifying force.
I pray that love fills our bodies, heads, and hearts
so that we experience true Grace.
My prayer is that everyone is aware of Love.
Look around. Find a whole lot of beautiful.
